With over 10 years of experience as a venture capitalist, international manager consultant, angel investor, M&A advisor and mentor for startups, Daniel closed over 100 deals across 6 different countries and founded 3 VC funds. He was also listed as one of the most influential investors of 2018 by Venture360. He is a Mentor and Board Member in several organizations, professor of finance and entrepreneurship at INSPER in São Paulo, and member of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Seed Capital Committee of the Brazilian Association for PE & VC. Daniel holds a bachelor in Business Mgmt. from FGV-EAESP, MBA in Business Strategy and a specialization in VC from Berkeley-Haas, among several other executive courses at Singularity University, Harvard University, Babson College, and others.
Nemer Rahal

Nemer has more than 25 years of experience in the financial market. His career includes senior roles in institutions such as JP Morgan Chase and Patria Investments (a Brazilian leading alternative investments firm), where he worked as the partner responsible for Sales & Investor Relations for more than 20 years. Since 2017, Nemer Rahal has remained thoroughly engaged in the venture capital market by acting as an angel investor and mentor for a number of startups. He has also been engaged in initiatives in the impact economy sector. Nemer holds a bachelor in Civil Engineering and an MBA degree from Insead, besides having attended several post-graduate courses in universities such as Stanford University and Berkeley-Haas.
Camila Potenza

With more than 10 years working with big corporations, financial institutions, funds and startups, Camila started her career as a corporate lawyer, having worked for major law firms, such as Veirano Advogados and Wald Advogados in M&A, debt restructurings, judicial reorganizations and other corporate matters. She attended programs at UC Berkeley, Stanford and UCSC, and worked at two different startups in the Bay Area, one of which as the Head of Operations and Strategic Partnerships. Before co-founding Mindset Ventures, she also acted as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Acelera Partners in Brazil, a corporate VC Fund. Camila was also recognized by LAVCA as “Top Women Investing in Latin American Tech”.
Boaz Albaranes
Partner, Head of Israel
Boaz has over 10 years of experience in international relations, technology and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Mindset Ventures, he was the Israeli Economic Consul in Brazil and headed the Israeli Trade & Investments mission in Sao Paulo. Before his role in Brazil, Boaz was a Project Lead in the Israeli Investment Promotion Center, Cadet in the Foreign Trade Administration and Project Manager at Israel Newtech. He also worked as an Algorithm Developer in an Israeli startup company and co-founded Jewgether.org. Boaz holds a bachelor degree in Electric and Computer Engineering and an MBA, both from Technion. He was also part of a special unit of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
Pedro Mesquita

Pedro supports deal flow analysis from both US and Israel. Pedro holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from FGV-EAESP. While in University, he participated in student groups and in FHC: Possible Dreams and Transformational Ideas, a program created by Brazil’s former president, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, to leave his legacy to the Brazilian youth and train young leaders. He has also made an exchange program to Bocconi University, taking courses in Management, Economics and Business Strategy, and a summer course in Open Innovation at London School of Economics. Before joining Mindset Ventures, Pedro worked at The Economist Intelligence Unit, where he was involved in the research for the annual Competitiveness Ranking of the Brazilian States.

Board Member
Altair is a senior executive with 35+ years in the financial market, having worked as a Director at Banco Real and Santander. He was a pioneer in the integration of sustainability in this industry and the co-founder of Sustainable Hub, a firm dedicated to advise sustainable businesses on innovation. He was President of New Ventures Brazil, serving as a member of Steering Committee of Social Enterprise Platform Action Hub, an initiative of the UN Global Compact. He also served as director of the Brazilian Council for Sustainable Development and was the godfather of the Human Diversity Committee led by Banco Real. Altair is currently a Board Member of TECVERDE, an Endeavor Mentor, advisor at Ágora Tech Park and a visiting Professor of the MBA course on Creative Entrepreneurship in the University of Cordoba.
Rodrigo Menezes

Rodrigo is founding partner of FM Derraik, chairman of the Entrepreneurship and VC Committee of the Brazilian VC and PE Association, Board Member of the Brazilian Social Task Force and of Anjos do Brasil. As an attorney, he represents foreign and local VCs, Corporate Ventures, startups and entrepreneurs in several VC and impact investment deals. He is a professor in various universities in Brazil, teaching legal aspects of VC and PE investments for graduate and post-graduate programs. He is also a panelist in conferences and seminars regarding legal aspects of VC and PE investments from distinct schools and associations. He is author and contributor of several articles, including the Guide VC Chapter for Brazil. Rodrigo holds a master’s in law from IE Madrid and attended the VC Executive Program at UC Berkeley.

Marco Flavio is an executive entrepreneur with proven track record in a variety of multinational companies in the high-tech, consumer packaged goods and marketing services industries. He acted as director at Nokia, being responsible for driving its marketing and sales strategies. He is the CEO and founder of VIDI, a company focused on building governance models for leading fast-moving consumer goods businesses and retailers, aiming at achieving perfect stores execution evaluation and shopper experiences in sales channels. Marco holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), an MBA from COPPEAD, a marketing specialization at INSEAD. He also serves as a mentor at Insper University’s entrepreneurship center.

Claudia is Board Member in several listed companies and NGOs, such as Telefonica in Spain, Lafarge-Holcim in Switzerland, and Gerdau and Yduqs in Brazil. She also serves at the non-profit Boards of Amigos do Bem, Gastromotiva and Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. Prior to that, she worked as a senior VP for Clients at LATAM Airlines Group. Before that, she was the CEO of LATAM Airlines Brasil for 6 years. She joined TAM Airlines as Comercial & Marketing VP and, once the association between LAN and TAM happened, she became responsible for the Brazil Domestic Business Unit. Prior to that, she was the Marketing VP at Whirlpool Latin America, and has also worked as a consultant at Bain&Company. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechninc School in the University of São Paulo and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

Alexandre is an MD at Qualcomm Ventures and oversees investments in LatAm. He also focuses on 5G, Digital Enterprise, Infra and Communication sector deals in US. Alex has 25+ years of experience in principal investing (PE & VC) and business mgmt. Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, he was an investment director at Intel Capital, responsible for global equity investments in Networking & Communications in the Data Center group. At the same company, he also managed investments across LatAm for several years. Before Intel Capital, Alex worked for Stratus Investimentos, a PE firm based in Brazil, and was a General Manager for Procurement and Product Development at Gradiente Eletrônica. Alex holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP and has earned his MBA from INSEAD.

He serves as a vice chairman at Deloitte and was also the CEO of SeaChange International, a global multiscreen video-software company. Jay is an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering and was appointed to the White House initiative for education and technology by Bill Clinton. Carlos is a successful entrepreneur and executive. He co-founded and developed Brazil’s first national television network and multi-media platform fully dedicated to live sports with an unprecedented engaging format, acquired by Turner Broadcasting System. During the years following the sale of the company, he led a Media Partnerships team at Twitter. Carlos is investor at several startups, such as Peer5, IDWall, GamersClub (sold to Immortals Team), EasyCarros, Hamama and Conta Simples. His experience also extends as an operating LP at Canary, Founder / BoD at Reaction Global, and investor at Tau Ventures.
