Daniel Ibri has more than 10 years of experience as a venture capitalist, angel investor, international management consultant, M&A advisor and mentor for startups. Over the past 8 years Daniel has lead strategic planning, financial structuring, turnaround and M&A projects for SMEs in Brazil and mentored dozens of startups from across Brazil, USA and Europe. Daniel founded and managed GRID Investments, a successful Seed and Venture Capital Firm in Brazil, awarded in 2014 as Best VC Fund Manager by Microsoft / Spark Awards. Daniel also has executive experience and has worked as a trainer and professor for several Brazilian companies and universities.
Currently, Daniel is the CEO of Acelera Partners, mentor at Endeavor Brazil, Artemisia, ACE and Lisbon-Challenge, member of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Seed Capital Committee (CEICS-VC) of the Brazilian Association for Private Equity & Venture Capital (ABVCAP) and professor of entrepreneurship and finance courses at FIAP and INSPER.
Daniel holds a bachelor in Business Management from FGV-EAESP, an MBA in Business Strategy and specialization in Venture Capital from Berkeley University. He also completed several postgraduate and executive courses in universities such as Rotman School of Management, Babson College, Harvard University, University of Texas at Austin, FGV-EDESP (Law School), FIA-USP and INSPER.
Camila Folkmann Costa graduated from the Law School of the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (São Paulo, Brazil) and began her career at a major law firm where she worked in the corporate practice advising clients in all sort of corporate and contract matters, mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and out of court and judicial reorganizations.
In 2013, Camila pursued a Certificate in Global Business Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Afterwards, she had her own Silicon Valley experience by working at two different startups in the Bay Area (Cheapest Online and HandsOn.TV). At HandsOn.TV, Camila was the Head of Operations and Strategic Partnerships, assisted the marketing team and organized the two editions of the startup competition Pitch It, the “American Idol” for startups.
After moving back to Brazil, Camila joined Acelera Partners in 2014 and became the company’s Chief Legal & Compliance Officer.
Ricardo Politi graduated in Business Administration at Insper University in São Paulo and attended Executive Programs at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, London Business School and University of Southern California. Ricardo began his career as an investment consultant and commercial executive, serving also as a Member of the Management Committee and Philanthropy Coordinator at LIDE Futuro, a youth initiative from a private networking organization whose affiliated companies represents more than 50% of Brazil's GDP.
He is the Co-Founder of fintech startup Broota Brasil, the first and leading Equity-based Crowdfunding platform in Latin America, and has played an important role as an advocate within the CVM (Brazilian's Securities and Exchange Commission) for the creation of a specific regulation on "mini-IPO" operations through the internet, democratizing access to seed capital for innovation and creating a new investment asset class.
During the past years, Ricardo has fostered the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Brazil collaborating as a Community Leader for Startup Weekend (Techstars), Presenter of a TV Show focused on entrepreneurship (MeuStart), Mentor at InovAtiva Brasil (Government Innovation Program) and Member of the Public Policymaking Committee at the Brazilian Startups Association (ABS). Also, Ricardo is a volunteer Board Member at NGO Instituto Gerando Falcões, member of YPO Next Generation (Young Presidents' Organization) and associate member at the United Nations' Nexus Global Youth Summit.
Boaz Albaranes has more than 10 years of experience in international relations, technology and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Mindset, Boaz was the Israeli Economic Consul in Brazil and headed the Israeli Trade & Investments mission in Sao Paulo where he brought together companies and investors from both countries to do business together. One of the main aspects of his job was to match Israeli tech companies with large national Brazilian companies in which he conducted many scouting projects for the latter. During his time in Brazil, Boaz was a mentor in various startups and acceleration in programs such as IBM Bootcamp, Oracle Accelerator, Startup Farm, etc.
Prior to his role in Brazil, Boaz has held a few positions within the Israeli Ministry of Economy such as Project Lead in the Israeli Investment Promotion Center, Cadet in the Foreign Trade Administration and a Project Manager at Israel Newtech - the national program promoting the cleantech sector. Before joining the government, Boaz has worked as an Algorithm Developer in an Israeli startup company and has also co-founded and managed Jewgether.org. Boaz holds a Bsc in Electric and Computer Engineering and an MBA, both from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
